 2008 CONSUMER STUDY

"The French and their hobbies – The arts and crafts consumers

The updated CRÉAPLUS strategic study includes the latest responses in order to provide a better understanding of what customers in this sector expect. Carried out during the summer of 2008, it involved surveying 1,200 customers who had just come out of shops selling creative hobby products. This exclusive study identifies in detail consumers’ choices and expectations.

With a comparison of behaviour between 2008 and 2004, this study provides answers to the key questions asked by professionals, including:
• What activities does the consumer do?
• How much time is spent on creative hobbies?
• How much money is spent on creative hobbies?
• How long has the consumer been doing the activity?
• How are activities learnt about?
• Male/female, child/adult – who does what? who buys more? who expects what?
